For some time now, the Canadian Regional
Council of the CPA, composed of the Presiding Officers of the CPA Branches in
Canada, has been giving serious thought to publishing a Canadian Regional
newsletter or review that would reach all its legislators. At its last meeting
in February, the Council decided to issue a few numbers of the publication on
an experimental basis. This is the first issue of the Canadian Regional
Review
Our aim is to publish a readable,
informative and attractive magazine. We will not, however, know whether it
appears so to you or not unless we obtain your reactions in a formal manner. We
feel, therefore, that in order to give you this opportunity, we should send you
a questionnaire. This we will do after the second or third issue, when we feel
certain all Canadian Parliamentarians have had a chance to evaluate the scope
of the publication.
This Canadian innovation in the
parliamentary and Commonwealth information field cannot become a permanent
feature unless it is capable of obtaining your input and gaining your full
support. Please do not hesitate to answer the questionnaire as it will give you
plenty of opportunities to express your views and we are open to all
suggestions.
